Manicures & Pedicures

Tinting & Waxing

  • How long should I wait between waxes?

Generally three to four weeks is recommended depending on how quickly your hair regrows. Usually hair grows slower during colder months and faster during warm/hot months. Seasons contribute to how often you may want to make your appointments.

  • What length should hair be before waxing?

Ideally between 1/4″ to 1/2″ in length.

  • Are there things I can do before waxing to help prevent irritation or pain?

Check first with your doctor, however some find that taking an over the counter pain reliever an hour before getting a wax helps to reduce some of the pain felt during the service. Make sure you do not exfoliate, expose areas to the sun, apply a moisturizer or exercise vigorously before your next waxing appointment. These actions may cause irritation and damage to your skin if done prior to your waxing appointment.

  • How should I care for my newly waxed skin?

You will be sure not to sunbathe, exfoliate with scrubs or acids, or go to workout for about 24 hours after waxing. Additionally, do not use anything that contains artificial colors or fragrances. They can irritate or infect your skin. If any wax residue remains on your skin it can be gently washed off with soap and water. Do not scrub. Applying a gentle body oil will also work for wax residue removal.

  • Will my skin be red after my service?

Most clients show some reaction after a wax service. It can vary from slightly pink skin to some swelling to small red spots from the hair removal. These are all normal and typically disappear overnight.
